BCS provides an environment that is focused on fostering students' academic performance in a loving, Christian environment. Teachers and staff are disciples of Jesus, serving the Lord through the ministry of Christian education. Each morning, teachers gather to share together, pray for students, and encourage each other. In a day and time when our culture is filled with many misleading messages, BCS offers encouraging, spirit-filled experiences grounded in truth.
Elementary students take part in Bible memorization, weekly Bible lessons and stories, daily prayer time and bi-monthly chapel programs. Middle and high school students participate in weekly chapel services where pastors from the local community speak to their hearts. They also take part in weekly worship services where they worship God through song.
Our Biblical worldview is integrated into every subject and classroom experience. Teachers and staff are committed to helping students to know how God is revealed through scripture, challenging them to be a follower of Christ, and preparing them for whatever vocation or service God has called them to!
Church & Pastor connections
We believe that pastors play an important role in the lives of our students! Our local pastors are regularly invited to speak in chapels and each year we invite all of our students' pastors, youth leaders, and Sunday School teachers to an all-school worship service and prayer time which reaffirms the connection between home, school and church in the life of each child.
Spiritual Renewal Day
Each year, a special day is set aside for middle and high school students to focus on growth and spiritual renewal. This day, planned and led by faculty members, is filled with fun and meaningful activities, fellowship, worship and messages designed to challenge and encourage each participant.
“I have the privilege of teaching in both the Music and Bible Department at BCS. One thing I appreciate about teaching at BCS is the opportunity to have the Bible infiltrate every aspect of my teaching. Whether we are learning the notes on the staff, correct singing posture for the choir, or how to lead worship effectively, it is all about bringing glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31). God has given me the opportunities to come alongside students and encourage them in their walk with Christ. I get to several days a week with students talking about Jesus and how much He loves them, teaching them principles from the Bible that they can apply to their lives to help them make wise choices, and giving them tools to help them grow in their faith. Each student is an image bearer of God and I am honored to help cultivate that image in each of their lives. It is truly a pleasure to teach at BCS, and I am grateful for every opportunity that God has given me.”
