The governing body of Belleville Christian School is made up of the Board of Trustees. Listed below are the board members.

Phil Weaver, Chairman: Phil is married to Lori, and they have four children: Chantal ('24), Angelina (12th grade), Isabella (9th grade), and Brantley (5th grade).  Phil and his family attend Locust Grove Mennonite Church.

Throughout his time on the BCS Board of Trustees, and especially during his time as Chairman, Phil has consistently displayed servant leadership, honor, and respect for all members of the BCS community, as well as unwavering support of the mission and vision of BCS.  Phil has a true heart for the school and its people, and this is evident in all he does.


Scott Pauchnik, Vice-Chairman:  Scott chairs the BCS Property Committee and Board Governance Committee. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Slippery Rock University and manages FedEx's state and local government affairs efforts in PA, MD, DE, OH and WV.  Scott is married to Lydia, and three of their four children attend BCS: Vivian and Martha (8th grade) and Reid (4th grade). Scott and his family attend Calvary Bible Church.

During Scott’s time on the board, he has continuously used his natural drive and passion for excellence to position BCS for success for years to come.  Additionally, Scott’s professional knowledge and relationships have allowed BCS to remain closely connected to supportive local and state government officials and secure significant grant funding.  Scott chairs the BCS Property Committee and Board Governance Committee. 


Suzanne Byler, Treasurer:  Suzanne is a 1980 graduate of BMS, and has served on the Finance Committee and enjoys volunteering in the Thunder Cafe. Suzanne is married to Elwood ('81). They have three adult children who have all graduated from BMS - Josh ('03), Lauren ('05), and Allison ('07). Additionally, they have seven grandchildren who currently attend BCS in 1st through 7th grades. Suzanne and Elwood attend Locust Grove Mennonite Church.

Suzanne has been thankful for the solid foundation of a Christian education in her own life and has seen the benefits of this same foundation in her children's lives. Her desire is that BCS will continue to thrive so that her grandchildren and future generations have the opportunity to receive a quality education with scripture and prayer woven throughout every part of their learning experience.


Jill Ammon, Secretary: Jill and her husband, Mike, were led to BCS after praying about where to send their son, Clay ('25). Jill is a member of the Athletics Committee, and she volunteers at BCS in a variety of ways, including working in the Thunder Cafe and assisting with events. Jill and her family attend Calvary Bible Church where Jill is involved with the Open Hands community outreach ministry. She also volunteers with Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Release Time Program at Strodes Mills Elementary. Jill is passionate about the success and growth of BCS, and she is committed to serving BCS, its faculty and staff, and its families well. 


Christine Baker: Christine Baker is a 1981 graduate of Penn State University.  After teaching in the public school system for five years, Christine joined the faculty at BMS in 1992 and taught at BMS for 25 years, retiring in 2017.  Christine is married to Mr. Chris Baker, they have two daughters who graduated from BMS in 2003 and 2005, and seven grandchildren.  Christine and her family attend Calvary Bible Church where she teaches Sunday school for children in kindergarten – second grade. Christine is passionate about Christian education and understands that supporting Christian education is vital, especially in today’s culture.


Kate Kramm: Kate is a 2002 graduate of BMS. She currently serves on the Governance Committee and the Advancement Committee of the board, and also enjoys volunteering in the Thunder Café and the elementary library. Kate and her husband, Andrew, have three children who attend BCS – Lucas (5th grade), Matthew (3rd grade), and Abigail (2nd grade). Their family attends River Church of Juniata County. 

During Kate’s time on the board, she has focused on approaching situations and making decisions with Godly wisdom and faith. Kate values the Biblical worldview at BCS and understands the importance of BCS’s role in raising up our students as disciples of Jesus. She is excited to see how Jesus uses BCS to expand His Kingdom.


Jill Metzler: Jill is a 1983 graduate of BMS, and she previously served on the BMS Board of Trustees in the early 2000’s. Jill and her husband, Alan (’81), own Metzler Forest Products in Reedsville. They have three adult sons who all attended and graduated from BMS – Lucas (’07), Logan (’08), and Nathan (’11).

Through her personal experiences and multi-generational connection to BCS, Jill has been blessed by the supportive and Godly community at the school. She deeply appreciates the reinforcement of Biblical teaching that BCS offers, as well as how prayer is such an integral part of all that the school does. Additionally, Jill values the extra support and care that BCS’s faculty provides, going out of their way to get to know each student individually and help them be successful in their own way. Jill is excited to continue her relationship with BCS and be part of all that the Lord is doing in the school.


Nelson Peachey: Nelson sits on the BCS Property Committee and is very connected to the local business community, which allows him to offer insight and expertise on organizational business. Nelson is married to Vanessa, and their children, Alayna (9th grade), Xander (6th grade), and Liam (2nd grade) attend BMS.  Nelson and his family attend Locust Grove Mennonite Church.

Nelson feels he was fortunate to be raised with a Christian education and thinks it is very important and beneficial for his children to have the same experience. He is thankful that they have the opportunity and the ability to send their children to BCS. Nelson understands that an organization like BCS takes a lot of people and a lot of work to allow it to thrive and be successful, and he wants do his part. 


Drex Treaster: Drex sits on the Board Governance Committee and enjoys regularly volunteering in the Thunder Cafe. Drex has a background in healthcare and is the Coordinator of Memory Lane at Valley View Retirement Community. He is married to Lizzie and has 7 children. Currently, their daughter, Grace (5th grade), and son, Isaac (1st), attend BCS.  Drex and Lizzie and their family attend Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church where Drex has worked in multiple positions in youth ministry and currently serves on the elder board. Drex deeply values the Biblical worldview of a BCS education and readily supports the school any way he can.
