School Profile

History. Local ministers, who wanted to provide a Christian education for children in their churches, founded Kishacoquillas Valley Christian Day School in 1945. The following decades brought many changes at BCS, including enrollment increases and new building constructions.  Currently, 235 students representing over 150 families from nearly 40 local congregations enjoy the unique, private school education that BCS offers. We are excited to continue growing as Belleville Christian School, a strong academic culture grounded in personal growth, scripture and discipleship.

Faculty. Belleville Christian School's roster of qualified faculty take personal interest in each child's learning achievement and are eager to partner with parents. Educated at a variety of respected universities, teachers provide quality education through classes that develop students' intellectual, academic and spiritual growth.

Learning Environment. With a curriculum that generates intellectual development and academic preparation, classes and teachers at BCS provide a quality education in a safe, Christian environment. A low student to teacher ratio allows each student to receive the individual attention that leads to academic success. 

Student Leadership and Honors Programs. A student council provides opportunity for middle school students to lead in creative ways. At the high school level, a student senate, comprised of two representatives from each high school class, initiates service and school spirit activities. Belleville Christian School's National Honor Society provides additional educational and service opportunities.

Personal Growth. Fundraisers, service opportunities, and special events throughout the year create a culture at BCS where relationships are cultivated not only within classroom settings, but across all grades and ages on campus. Students are encouraged to explore their interests, look for ways to serve others, and invest in mentoring activities.

Extracurricular Activities. Belleville Christian School hosts a variety of extracurricular activities in which students choose to participate. High school students participate in PIAA District 6 boys and girls soccer, cross-country, basketball, and track competition. All teams are members of ACAA (Alleghany Christian Athletic Association). Students participate in the fine arts by joining choirs, worship team, and theater productions. Additionally, an elementary Christmas musical along with middle school and high school choir performances take place each year.
